I learned today that this is the deepest lake in the world, it is 636 km long, it’s water volume equals 20% of the world’s fresh water (!!!), ages over 25 million years, has over 3500 species of plants and animals from which 2600 are endemic, it freezes 1 1/2 meter thick in the winter time, is hoste of a motorcycle race to raise money, has a marathon in the ice and is a superb  

background scenery  to take pictures with me. I curious to check out the motorcycle ice raise……  Apparently 3 days with sleeping in tends on the ice. Sounds like fun.
